…more to come

I will write more โ much more โ about Jean Desprรฉs (1889โ1980), the legendary French jewelry maker and designer, another day.
For now, I will simply leave you with a sneak peak at some of his wonderfully intricate Art Dรฉco jewelry pieces, most often crafted from semi-precious stones and enamel. While his work was shaped by the spirit and modern day of the 1920s and the machine age, his aesthetic also drew heavily on the influence of fellow avant-garde artists.

Note from the writer:
As a writer on Substack without โpaid subscribersโ on, or without being a paying subscriber myself, I find that Substackโs algorithm buries the posts one publishes in the Notes feed.
This sometimes it feels like a shame โinteresting and good material just going to waste even though your intention was not to write a full article โ which has led me to conclude that there can be an advantage to also publishing the material as a publication article in certain cases. Perhaps sometimes even without words? We will seeโฆ
All, the above, in order not to get buried in the Substack algorithmsโ unmarked cemeteries for unknown [design] soldiers.
So plz, join the test periodโฆ
